Back in 2008, When I was in UK, I have seen the madness & craziness to buy items on a Black Friday. People were standing in the queue early in the morning before the shop opens & purchase as many as possible. I didnt know the significance of these days & I was in assumption that these days are releated to christmas event. Fast forward to 2022, I see the Black Friday trend in India too. Media, websites, apps promoting the sale & newspaper is flooded with offers. Today morning while reading newspaper, I had to search for the news in between such Ads & promotion. Our Indian mentality is tend to believe in anything that is shown to us multiple times without questioning. I am not making a generic statement here but majority of the popoulation comes under that. Just because it is sale, without even knowing the significance or history behind the celebrations, we are yielded to make purchases. Are we promoting Akshaya Thrithiya gold purchase in Western countries...
Making right decision at the right time..... many of us might have heard this phrase plenty of time in our lives. But how many of us has made that right decision in our lives which we are proud of anytime ??? And how many of us thought that we made right decision but later realised 'at a wrong time' ??? If i just look back then until my 12th grade, my parents were making all the major decision for me.... no burden on my shoulder... :) wow life was so beautiful at that time!!!! My second right decision was in selecting engineering college. During my first CET council the options i had was JCE, Hassan engg college(forgot the actual name of the college), PCET Mandya and SIT Tumkur. I opted for SIT though i had no idea about that college.... i selected because of the branch Instrumentation and Electronics engg again i h...
I chose this name to my post because most of us do remember reading this in our text books during school days. This is what our teachers used to preach everyday in school and we did believe that and felt good about our nation. As we grew up and started to understand what is happening around us, its natural to ask ourselves do we really have unity in diversity. Ok friends, by now you might have hinted what am i trying to write here... yes you guessed it right. Its all about the controversy we are hearing in news "Marathi Vs Hindi" ... Is language dividing Indians, instead of uniting us ??? Do we really need this kind of controversies ?? I personally feel what ever statement Mrs.Bachchans made in public might have hurt Marathi people but then she didn't speak in some language which they don't understand like Latin, Arabic or Malayalam. She spoke in 'Hindi' which is considered as our national language. I feel there was no need for Mr.Raj Thackeray to make a big i...
